Privacy notice

Habu keeps what you write on your phone. There is no account, no server of ours, and nothing about your habits is sent anywhere.

Who is behind Habu

Habu is made by MyT. If you want to reach a person about anything on this page, write to habu@myt-dev.es and a person will answer.

What Habu collects

Habu itself collects nothing: it has no backend and no analytics. The ads shown in the app come from Google AdMob, and Google collects the following through them. Everything else you see below stays on your phone.

Collected through the ads

Never leaves your phone

Why

The ads pay for the app so it can stay free with no subscription. That is the only reason anything is collected at all.

How long it is kept

Your habits live on your phone for as long as you keep the app. Delete a habit and it is gone; delete your data from Settings, or uninstall the app, and everything goes with it. Nothing is shared with anyone else, so there is nothing we have to hold on to and nothing we keep. What Google collects through the ads is governed by Google, and their retention is described in their own privacy policy.

Who it is shared with

Google, as the advertising provider, and nobody else. There is no analytics service, no crash reporter of ours, no marketing tool and no data broker.

Advertising and your choices

Before any ad loads, Habu asks for consent through Google’s consent form where the law requires it, and on iOS it also asks whether apps may track you. Saying no is a real answer: the app works the same, and the ads become non-personalised. You can change your mind later in your phone’s settings.

Where your data is

On your phone, in the app’s own storage. It is not backed up to any server of ours because there is no server of ours.

What Habu never does

A habit can be a health matter — taking medication, not drinking, going to therapy. Under the GDPR that is a special category of personal data, and it is treated as one here. The content of your habits never leaves your device and its storage on it. It is never used to choose an ad. It is never sent to an analytics provider or to any other third party. Not now, and not as a feature added later without asking you first.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, its correction, its deletion, and to object to how it is used. Because your habits only exist on your phone, you exercise all of that yourself and immediately: open Settings and delete your data. For anything the ads collect, write to habu@myt-dev.es and we will point you at the right Google control, or you can complain to your national data protection authority.

If you are in California

Habu does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond what the ad consent you gave allows. You have the right to know, to delete and not to be discriminated against for exercising either.

Children

Habu is not aimed at children and is not listed for them. If you believe a child has used the app and you want the data removed, deleting the app removes all of it, and you can write to us at habu@myt-dev.es.

Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the new version appears in the app before it applies. The date is how you can tell whether you have read the version in force.
