Short version: the app is yours to use, your data is yours, and Habu is not a doctor.

What Habu is

A habit tracker that runs on your phone. You write down what you want to do, you mark it when you do it, and the app keeps the record.

There is no account

You do not sign up and you do not sign in. Nothing you enter is tied to an identity, because there is no identity to tie it to. The flip side is that your history lives on this phone only: if you lose the phone, the history goes with it.

Your data is yours

What you write belongs to you. We claim no right over it, we do not read it, and we could not read it if we wanted to — it never reaches us.

Fair use

Use the app for yourself. Do not try to break it, do not use it to harm anyone, and do not repackage it as your own.

This is not medical advice

Habu is a notebook with reminders. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose anything, and it must not be relied on for medication, treatment or any decision about your health. If a habit here matters to your health, your doctor is the one to ask, and a missed reminder is never a reason to skip or double a dose.

Ads

The app is free and paid for by ads. They are always marked as advertising, they never appear between tapping a habit and seeing it marked, and no ad is ever chosen using anything you wrote.

No warranty

The app is provided as it is. We do our best, but we cannot promise it will never lose data, never crash and never fail to deliver a reminder — phones and their power-saving settings are not fully in our hands. Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee, and Habu never promises a reminder to the exact minute.

Ending it

You can stop using Habu whenever you want. Delete your data from Settings, or uninstall the app, and nothing of yours remains.

Which law applies

Spanish law, and the courts of the place where you live if you are a consumer in the EU. Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and the new version appears in the app before it applies.
